International Schools Group (ISG) prefers to employ teaching couples; however, depending on circumstances, single status candidates may be considered. Candidates must hold a valid teaching certificate or license and have at least a bachelor’s degree. Two or more full years of successful teaching experience are preferred. Positions will vary and may require American curriculum, British National Curriculum, and/or IB Diploma Progamme experience.
Initial salary is determined according to Salary Schedules and initial placement. An annual salary step increase is possible with each contract extension. Initial teaching contracts are for two school years, 191 teacher work days per contract year. Extensions contracts are available in 1, 2 and 3 year increments at the end of the initial contract.
For the initial contract year, ISG provides relocation benefits based on the employee's situation: single teacher, teaching couple, and eligible dependents. A shipping allowance is provided for each subsequent year to help with living expenses.
In addition to initial relocation, sponsored teaching contracts include free transportation to and from work, free furnished and equipped housing, free utilities including local phone services, free in-Kingdom tuition for dependents, and free on-site nursery care.
