Dr. Cooke graduated from Arizona State University in 1975 and finished his M. Ed. in Guidance and Counseling in 1977. He continued his studies of counseling psychology at ASU and received his Master of Counseling (MC) degree in 1981. In 1992, he also completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) specializing in information technology. In 1998, Dr. Cooke earned a principal’s license in the state of Arizona. He completed his doctorate in educational administration in June 2014 from Bethel University in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Dr. Cooke worked as a high school guidance counselor and teacher in Arizona, USA, for 19 years before he and his wife moved overseas. They have been working overseas since 2000 and have worked in Dhaka, Bangladesh; Guanghouz, China; and Bamako, Mali, before moving to Saudi Arabia. They have worked at ISG since 2007. Mr. Cooke started at ISG as the high school counselor at Dhahran High School and then was the assistant principal at Dhahran Elementary Middle School. He has been the principal of Yanbu International School since 2012.
