Sylvia Marcos joined International Schools Group (ISG) Dammam in SY 93-94. A graduate of Bachelor of Arts in Literature and a Masters Degree in Reading, Mrs. Marcos taught Language Arts, Science, Health, Study Skills, and Social Studies to grades 6-8 students and was the adviser of the school newsletter, The Rahimazette, for five years.
Before coming to Saudi Arabia, Mrs. Marcos worked as a high school English teacher in her hometown and taught English to foreign missionaries working in the country. Mrs. Marcos later joined the Civil Service Commission of the Philippines as supervising specialist, a position that engaged her in the design and conduct of training sessions on performance evaluation and management.
Mrs. Marcos was appointed vice-principal of Middle School in 2000 and has been a part of the growth and transformation of the school ever since.
