ISG Jubail Middle School Students Explore Jubail’s Development in an Educational Trip

Middle schoolers at ISG Jubail enjoyed an enriching field trip as Ms. Inge's World Regions class learned about the city of Jubail's development. On Sunday, April 21, the students visited the Royal Commission’s center in Jubail, where they gained insights into the RC's initiatives aimed at shaping the city's future.

Guided by their curiosity and by Ms. Inge, students explored the various facets of the Royal Commission's efforts, learning about urban planning, sustainability and community development. From innovative projects to environmental conservation initiatives, the students absorbed valuable knowledge about the city's ongoing transformation.

Following their visit to the Royal Commission's center, the students continued their expedition to Dareen Hills, a new recreational development in Al Jubail. Donning their geographer's and urban planner's goggles, our middle school students embarked on a hands-on learning experience, collecting data and identifying key aspects of Dareen Hills that align with the Royal Commission's mission statement.

Under the watchful guidance of chaperones Ms. Cays and Mr. Broderick, the students immersed themselves in the surroundings, examining the layout, amenities and design elements of Dareen Hills and analyzed the integration of green spaces, recreational facilities and community engagement initiatives within the development.

Throughout the excursion, students engaged in meaningful discussions, drawing connections between theoretical concepts learned in the classroom and real-world applications observed on-site. Their exploration not only deepened their understanding of urban planning and development but also fostered a sense of responsibility toward contributing to sustainable growth in their community.

This experience serves as a testament to ISG Jubail's commitment to providing holistic learning opportunities that empower students to become informed global citizens and active contributors to society.
