ASD DECA Club Hosts Successful Shark Tank-Style Event, Unveils Innovative Business Ideas

ASD's student-led business club, DECA, held its inaugural event, showcasing the entrepreneurial spirit and innovative thinking of its members. After months of preparation and learning about various sectors of business, including finance, marketing, hospitality and management, DECA hosted a shark tank-style competition on Tuesday, April 23.

At the event, student-led teams presented their meticulously crafted business ideas to a panel of judges, complete with prototypes, development plans and persuasive pitches.

Among the standout pitches was the winning idea presented by the team "Chills." Their innovative app aimed to assist individuals in identifying and managing chronic stress using cutting-edge technology. The app proposed to detect signs of stress and provide users with effective coping mechanisms, offering a holistic approach to mental wellbeing.

The event not only provided a platform for students to showcase their creativity and entrepreneurial skills but also fostered collaboration, critical thinking and presentation abilities.
